THE SPORTS CENTRE

The Sports Centre has a number of different configurations that the courts can be set for:
•    5 Basketball/Netball/Indoor Soccer courts.
•    6 Volleyball courts
•    8 Badminton courts
•    1 Show Court with 2 retractable grandstands.

The Sports Centre provides the following equipment:

  • Basketball backboards
  • Netball posts
  • Volleyball posts, nets, umpire stands & antennas.
  • Indoor Soccer posts & nets
  • Badminton posts & nets.

No – The Sports Centre does not have storage options available for hirers.
If you are running a multi-day event, a “competition room” will be made available where you can store your equipment for the duration of the event only.

The Sports Centre is wheelchair accessible with a large number of accessible car parks available.  The Sports Centre also has access to accessible toilet facilities.

For patrons attending events in The Sports Centre, there is a designated smoking area on the Wetlands side where smoking is permitted, (no food or drink is permitted in this area).  The designated smoking area is external to the perimeter fence line of the Courtyard.

You can bring limited snacks and water bottles into The Sports Centre only.
No outside commercial food, alcohol, large cooler bags, eskies or picnic baskets can be bought into the centre.

No – any alcohol that is bought into The Sports Centre will be confiscated.

No – The Sports Centre at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre is a CASHLESS venue, therefore there are no ATM’s available onsite.

Only items of value are kept and logged with security.  Items such as water bottles, clothing and balls are not kept.  If you have lost something contact The Sports Centre via email – sportscentre@brisent.com.au

Yes – Boondall Station is located on the Shorncliffe line and is a 600m walk to The Sports centre.  For more details information regarding train timetables please visit the Translink website or call 13 12 30.

HIRERS

Please complete the online booking form including as much information about your event/booking as possible.  Sports Centre staff will check the availability of your requested dates.  A booking estimate will be provided and a pre-event/booking venue walk-through will be arranged.  Sports Centre staff will contact you via email with any further questions or queries they may have around your booking.

Yes.
The hirer is responsible for providing a qualified First Aid Officer at all times of their booking. 
The designated First Aid Officer must not hold any other role on the day e.g. coach, team manager and must remain onsite at all times throughout the event booking period. 
The designated First Aid Officer must make themselves known to venue staff upon arrival so they can be briefed about venue ambulance procedures.

The only equipment provided by The Sports Centre is injury ICE and a defibrillator machine. 
All other first aid equipment including tape, band aids etc. needs to be provided by the designated First Aid Officer.

Yes – All hirers must provide a copy of their current public liability insurance certificate.

Fundraising within The Sports Centre is subject to written approval from venue management and must be obtained a minimum 7 days prior to the booking period.

Signage and any additional advertising materials within The Sports Centre is subject to written approval from venue management and must be obtained a minimum 7 days prior to the booking period.

Monday – Saturday:  
There is a minimum 2 hour booking period required minimum 2 courts

Sundays:  
There is a minimum 3 hour booking period required minimum 2 courts
